As a provider of high end technological solutions, they work together with thousands of clients in over thirty countries on all continents. The company’s main goal in the coming years is to offer more services to their clients, which they in turn can sell to their clients via our client’s platform and by creating a new user-centric (personalised) view on e-commerce.

Job Description

In this role, you are responsible for the business development activities of the organisation and drive the new sales business for the company. As an experienced Director of Business Development you act proactively in finding new clients and create sales strategies in line with the product development roadmap and ambition. You report directly to the CEO and have responsibility for:

  • Drive increased revenue and margins to achieve ambitious growth, build on existing and new members an international, successful sales and business development team
  • Know the markets, the culture, the clients, the competitors, the trends and developments and inform management and team on this, develop and manage relationships with (potential) clients, influencers and key stakeholders in the market
  • Defining and implementing (sales) strategies to stay ahead of the competition and stay innovative in the market, build and lead an international sales team by example; coaching and empowerment the team, increase market knowledge and sales skills to reach optimal results


Job requirements in this vacancy of Director Business Development:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, preferably in economics, business studies or comparable, with significant experience in business development
  • You inspire (potential) clients and transport your energy when telling your story; You know how to connect people, clients and departments; You have a strong sense of responsibility in leading and spreading the word about the companies products, the business cases and goals. You are smart, critical and creative and have experience in managing an (inter)national sales team
  • You are not afraid to take on this huge challenge, your are critical, creative and a challenger for the team and their clients. You van lead the sales team to a new level of success, and can perform in a collaborative and challenging environment


100k-120K base plus significant bonus potential.
