The Director Analytics, Data and CRM EMEA has primary responsibility for outlining and executing the data, analytics and CRM vision and strategy. This includes building the team to execute against this strategy, establish the required structure, processes and tools, continually track and improve performance and consumer experience, and oversee the day-to-day tactical operations of the organization.

As the company grows, it becomes increasingly important that solid customer data and intelligence inform business decisions and strategy and evolve into smart CRM, segmentation and differentiation approaches.

Another key strategic priority for the company is to increase the capture and conversion of new consumers and by developing a closer relationship with their potential consumer base. To that end there are is building out its consumer organisation across EMEA.

In short, this company seeks to transform the way it uses data and intelligence in its business, both in defining strategy as well as in operational execution.

Job Description

The Director Analytics, Data & CRM EMEA will help transform this company into a customer- and consumer-centric business that truly engages with and delights its customers and optimizes the customer experience across all touchpoints. He/she will be responsible for both the professional as well as the consumer sides of the business. This includes business and consumer intelligence, market and competitor insights, consumer and market research, retail analytics, and CRM and loyalty programs. Specific goals & responsibilities for this role include:

  • Set the Data, Insights, Analytics & CRM strategy and organization for EMEA in line with the overall strategy; outline the implementation plan and execution timeline, and drive execution of these plans;
  • Outline key requirements for insights and analytics for various stakeholder groups and establish and optimize data delivery and visualization (dashboards, portals, mobile);
  • Contribute to the definition of a consumer experience and consumer contact strategy across all consumer touchpoints with vision, data, insights and analytics; build a single view of the consumer across channels and devices;
  • Establish insights, analytics, capabilities and tools to identify customer segments, create customer profiles and a single view of the customer across channels, and optimize the customer experience;
  • Partner with commercial leaders to support the execution of strategies and achievement of goals and objectives through metrics, establishing activation capabilities across consumer touchpoints along the consumer journey;
  • Support the annual strategy and operating planning process with actionable data and insights; analyze the product portfolio performance; establish, manage and optimize customer segmentation and pricing models;
  • Establish a CRM and loyalty strategy, for both professional as well as consumer markets, in cooperation with marketing teams;
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of all data, insights, analytics and CRM systems and platforms and and work with IT teams to build them;
  • Recruit, train and develop the Data, Analytics & CRM teams to exemplify brand culture and best-in-class execution and experience.

You are comfortable with executive presence. In your previous multinational experience you have grown, trained, and managed a high-performing team. Specific requirements for this role include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Data Science, Mathematics/Statistics, Operations or Economics. Advanced degree preferred;
  • Minimum of 10 years progressive experience in business and consumer intelligence, data, analytics and CRM, with at least 5 years of successfully managing and developing teams;
  • Experience with data science, statistical analysis, data mining and predictive algorithms, forecasting, modelling and segmentation and pricing analytics;
  • Proven track record of setting up customer centric strategies; must be able to position data, analytics and CRM as a key driver for overall consumer and customer experience, marketing effectiveness and targeting, and loyalty programs;
  • Proven experience in delivering innovative solutions from visioning to execution; having defined and implemented data strategies to stay ahead of the competition; experience in transforming organizations;
  • Having developed best-in- class processes to collect data, feedback, derive insights, and co- ordinate successful ideas through to a data driven conclusion;
  • International experience in B2C and B2B environments;
  • People leadership, strategic thinking and a proven track record of driving results to enable business success in an ambiguous work environment;
  • Multinational people management experience, including building a team and managing people in remote locations;
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders including senior executives;
  • A hands-on team player who can deal with a lot of freedom and creates conditions to succeed by empowering the team.
